At the moment it doesn't seem to be possible to represent a chord with different time for each note in that chord.

I am fairly new to this library but really enjoy what I've played with so far. I am interested in something like this as well. For example, this would be useful for writing fingerpicking tablature, which may involve an alternating bass of quarter notes and a melody of notes with varying durations underneath. Likely a note will start on the same beat as the bass line.

From what I can tell, using chords (ie parentheses) is the best way to indicate that two notes start on the same beat, however it appears they all must share the same duration, as a chord might.
