I really appreciate the suggestion, and I'm truly sorry to hear about your mom — radon is indeed a serious issue that doesn't get enough attention. |

Thanks for getting back to me. Ya I have an ecosense cube. To monitor is
for the most part but its stand alone and on mqtt support. My levels were
high like 15+ so I had a system installed and now its between 1 and 2. Bad
weather days it can reach 3.
I was aware they were expensive. And I hear of a few other detectors. But
have not found one that works as good as the one I have. Not sure why. But
mine was always 0.1 withing the range of the ones the pros were coming
with. Had 5 sensors throughout my basment for a month before and after. So
I know it works good. One I tried said I was at 0.2 almost all the time.
Anyways. Thank you for your time and responce. Nice to know yours will
support mqtt. Once I get so stuff cleared up I will definaly come join.
Keep up the good work

Unfortunately, there aren't any affordable, maker-friendly radon sensors
available. Radon detection requires ionization chambers or scintillation
detectors, which are complex, expensive, and not compatible with DIY
electronics like this project. The sensors cost hundreds of dollars and
need specialized calibration and power requirements.
For radon monitoring, I'd recommend dedicated devices like the Airthings
Wave Plus or Ecosense Radon Eye RD200. Both integrate with Home Assistant,
which can run alongside Aura to give you a complete air quality picture
including radon.
Regarding Hubitat: Aura uses MQTT for smart home integration, which is
supported by Hubitat. You should be able to integrate it using MQTT
drivers, though I don't personally use Hubitat so I can't provide specific
driver support.

Now while I know this is packed with sensors, the one thing I keep finding missing from almost all air quality is a Radon Gas Sensor. I have a stand alone one, but it will not integrate into my smart home, nor will any of the others. Radon gas here in Utah is really bad in basements. (if you are not familiar, I highly recommend researching what it is.) This is something new they are realizing is an issue in homes. My own mom possibly passed away due to the very thing. I can cause lung cancer and people get it and have no clue what caused it and now they are finally realizing it.
If the radon sensor could be sourced I believe they are $75+ for just the sensor. If this had it I would 100% back it just for that reason, and you would become the first I am aware of that would have it.
Also can you support Hubitat and have drivers created for it? This would also be huge.
