Our new financial systems give us a more dependable idea of runway #499
Description
What happened
- CS&S has recently completed moving to a new accounting and finances system called Sage Intacct
- This means 2i2c's accounting information is now in the new system with all of its functionality.
- We've recently completed a migration of our membership sales and fundraising efforts to HubSpot
- Between the two, we've got a new, simpler model for runway projection
- Based on this, our runway is sometime in early 2027.
Why is it valuable
- We must be financially sustainable in order to be a reliable service provider and partner for our communities
- We are also committed to paying competitive salaries for doing infrastructure work in open science and open source
- These financial systems give us a better chance of making smart financial decisions and strategies, and are a key part of our sustainability.
