Dear authors,

The documentation uses the term 'collect' as a noun in sentences such as

"the collect installed on your mobile applications from the web dashboard"

I guess this is a rough translation the French noun 'collecte'. However the meaning of 'collect' in English is related to a prayer. See https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/collect#Noun

I suggest to use instead terms such as crowdsensing script, or data collection script (in contrast to collect, collection is correct with the meaning that I guess you want to convey), or if you want to go for a shorter version, script.

Lionel.

Hello,

Personally, I would prefer to adopt the term crop to describe an experiment deployed in the Hive to collect data in the wild.

Hi,

Better indeed. But crop or harvest? Crop is what you grow, while harvest is what you pick. I guess that when collecting data in the wild the correct metaphor is more that of harvest than crop.

Just my $.02

Cheers,
Lionel.

Interesting. To be honest we are using both crop or collect in our work. We decided to used crop as much as possible few months ago but we can easily find collect more or less everywhere (doc, servers etc.)

Some clean up might be needed :)

I was rather in favour of crop as it sounds catchy and short enough, from a research marketing point of view :)
We can always claim that "APISENSE collects your data seeds in the wild".
