1. Download devian ISO

2. Setup and install Virtual machine

We need to use virtualization software for the installation. The computers in the 42 cluster already have VirtualBox installed.
However, if you want to perform the installation, follow the link.

Open VirtualBox and click NEW

Choose a name and folder

⚠️ Make sure to store it within the sgoinfre folder, which is located on the server of your 42 campus
This step is essential to avoid running out of space in the session, which would lead to the installation failing.

Select the total RAM memory reserved for the machine (1024)

Set the size of the hard disk (8Gb)

Than click finish

Now, let's add the ISO file by clicking on settings.

Storage > IDE controller > empty

click on the 💿 under Optical Drive and select `Choose Disk File

select the ISO file we downloaded

Click OK

Now, just click on Start to begin the ISO installation on the virtual machine
