Vmware-Workstation-14 Graphics Issues

When using the numix-frost-light theme vmware-workstation theming breaks such that the panels go black and menu options overlay the sidebar options and icons are tiny and incorrectly squashed together.

If I switch to Adwaita then the issues goes away when I restart VMware-Workstation:

I've also just discovered that if I choose numix-frost (not light) then it also displays correctly:

So looks like something very specific with the light theme.
