I am fairly certain that there is a function to set the hardware address from a value given in user-space, may I ask why you wish to hard code it like this?

Unable to change from user space... wont work on intel wifi..
kindly check this post for further info..

ifconfig (interface) ether works just fine?

ifconfig ether not changes..
