Hi, everyone! I am the author of VizBlend. A Python package that creates interactive analytical reports by consolidating Plotly figures into a single HTML file. It’s designed to function like a modern PowerPoint presentation but with the power of stunning and interactive data visualization.

I am considering contributing to Taipy by adding an "Export as Report" feature that enables users to export their dashboard to a VizBlend report.

Why this should be useful:

  • For Taipy:

    • Enhances its feature set by offering an "Export as Report" capability, which is especially useful for stakeholders who need interactive reports that can be displayed as one graph a screen
  • For VizBlend:

    • Increases its versatility and adoption by expanding its use case from static reports to dynamic dashboards.
    • Enables users to turn interactive dashboards into professional, shareable HTML reports with minimal effort.

Why This Idea Makes Sense

  • Business Needs:

    • Many users of tools like Power BI, Tableau, or even your piece of art: Taaipy often need to export their data visualizations into shareable formats for stakeholders. Adding an export feature to Taipy would bridge this gap, giving users a powerful way to share insights offline.
  • Technical Synergy:

    • Both Taipy and VizBlend are Python-based, so integrating them is feasible and can be seamless.
    • VizBlend already works with Plotly, which is a core part of many Taipy GUIs.
  • Community Value:

    • This integration could drive adoption of both tools in the Python data science and visualization ecosystem.
    • Open-source contributions like this strengthen both frameworks and their developer communities.

If you don't mind adding VizBlend as a dependency in your package, do you have any technical concerns or recommendations I should consider before starting to develop this feature? If you mind this, I would like to see your feedback on my package 🌟

Thanks in advance!
