Use Google Cloud Java Client with Google App Engine

** Note: the following instructions are not required for App Engine Flex and Java 8 standard environment. **

Quickstart

This file provides extra instructions to set up Google Cloud Java Client with Google App Engine.

See Google Cloud JavaQuickstart for general instructions on using Google Cloud Java.

See Quickstart for App Engine Standard Environment for Java for extra Google App Engine instructions.

If you are using Maven, add this to your pom.xml file

<dependency>
    <groupId>com.google.appengine</groupId>
    <artifactId>appengine-api-1.0-sdk</artifactId>
    <version>1.9.50</version>
</dependency>

If you are using Gradle, add this to your dependencies

compile 'com.google.appengine:appengine-api-1.0-sdk:1.9.50'

If you are using SBT, add this to your dependencies

libraryDependencies += "com.google.appengine" % "appengine-api-1.0-sdk" % "1.9.50"

To test with local dev server, run

mvn appengine:devserver
