This slowdown in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) has made it increasingly challenging for custom ROM developers to maintain stability and compatibility.</p>\n\n<p>Without direct access to Google's proprietary tools and resources, many QPR0-related issues required extensive manual fixes and reverse engineering. Regardless, we bring another update to the table with a fresh set of fixes and improvements that enhance your experience over the last release.</p>\n\n<h2>Clearing the Misunderstanding: The Beauty of Pastels Over Glass and Blurs</h2>\n\n<p>We’re not copying NothingOS—we’re drawing inspiration from it, adopting certain elements of their design language while we develop our own unique identity. Since AxionOS doesn’t yet have a dedicated UI team, I need to establish a recognizable aesthetic while completing the core framework.</p>\n\n<p>To be clear, NothingOS and HelloUI are the only OEM skins that don’t fully follow the iOS route, which is why they serve as references. HelloUI, in particular, still carries some iOS influence. However, due to Google not releasing QPR1 (the stable version Pixel users know), everything here is not polished because it's WIP and in the first stage of firmware development release.</p>\n\n<p>LineageOS has already fixed many of these issues, but unfortunately, not all can be fixed even with the utmost diligence. In response to this, we have added links to the bug fixes as proof.</p>\n\n<h2>Fixed 69 Bugs, Added 178 Bugs</h2>\n\n<p>Kidding aside, we fixed critical issues and improved major custom ROM features that users actually need.</p>\n\n<h3>Improved Spoofing</h3>\n\n<p>Some apps that implement RootBeerNative (like banks) are invasively checking every property, mount point, and partition you have. With the help of PIF and system core patches, we managed to skip some checks that caused apps to crash and Play Integrity to fail. "content": "<p>After months of waiting, Google finally released the QPR1 sources and with that, AxionOS moves into a new chapter.</p>\n\n<p>This release isn’t about claiming superiority or drawing lines between projects.\nIt’s about reflecting on where we are, listening to feedback we’ve heard from users over time, and deciding how AxionOS can grow in its own way.</p>\n\n<p>AxionOS 2.3 represents a step toward clarity, refinement, and a more intentional experience.</p>\n\n<h2>Breaking the stereotypes</h2>\n\n<p>Over the years, we’ve seen a growing sentiment from parts of the Android community. Especially from users who’ve stepped away from custom ROMs or grown tired of hopping between them.</p>\n\n<p>Some feel that:\n<ul>\n<li>Many ROMs offer similar feature sets</li>\n<li>Differences can feel subtle rather than meaningful</li>\n<li>OEM software has improved enough that switching no longer feels necessary</li>\n</ul></p>\n\n<p>These aren’t criticisms of any project or team. Maintaining a custom ROM is hard work, often done by small groups in their free time. We deeply respect every maintainer and contributor keeping this ecosystem alive.</p>\n\n<p>But hearing these perspectives made me stop and ask myself:</p>\n\n<p>> What can AxionOS do differently?</p>\n\n<p>Rather than chasing feature parity or trends, 2.3 focuses on <strong>intent</strong>: refining the experience, strengthening our identity, and making design and functionality feel cohesive.</p>\n\n<h2>Does the Glass Reflect <em>You</em>?</h2>\n\n<p>It’s no secret that Android UI discussions often circle back to iOS-inspired design.</p>\n\n<p>Some users enjoy it. Others feel it overshadows what made Android special in the first place.</p>\n\n<p>For AxionOS, our goal isn’t to reject any design language outright, nor to follow one blindly. Some features from the previous version are still missing and will be added after some releases.</p>\n\n<p>QPR1 is still relatively new, and while we’ve tested extensively, real-world usage always reveals areas to improve.
