Sync entire repo

I'd like to use this to sync the entire contents of one repo to another, I've tried to configure the sync.yml like:

owner/repo:
  - source: /
    deleteOrphaned: true

But am getting the errors:

Error: Cannot copy '/' to a subdirectory of itself, 'tmp-1636309511881/github.com/owner/repo@branch//'.
Error: Error: Cannot copy '/' to a subdirectory of itself, 'tmp-1636309511881/github.com/owner/repo@branch//'.

Is this possible or am I doing it wrong?

It appears that this is currently not possible because of the way file/directory paths are being handled.

Additionally with the current version and your sync config it would copy everything, including the .git directory. This means it would overwrite the git history in your target repository.

I will see if I can find a good way around that and work on a fix.

I have a similar case where I need to sync a specific folder from the source repo to the root of the target repo.

owner/repo:
  - source: sync/
    dest: /

In my repo I have few folderssync, each represents repository.
I wanna copy all of them to roots of different repos.
sync or syncD
Workaround isn't that hard:
