Is it a local file? It's not an external database as far as I can see, right? Additional question: Can the chat history be disabled for single chats? |

Yes, that's exactly why I created Chatbox - all data stays on your device! When you use the desktop app, chat data is stored locally on your computer. For the web version, it uses browser localStorage. For your second question - I'm not sure if you mean disabling the message context. If that's what you're looking for, you can adjust it in the chat settings. |

Hi, thank you for your answers! With my second question I was referring to an option to avoid saving a conversation in the chat history, so that it can be accessed again later - basically with a similar idea to a "Private Tab" in a browser. |

Sounds like you just need to delete the chat conversation directly once you're done! |

True, since it's a local file, that would be an option. So I take it that it's not possible to avoid creating an external (file-based) chat history altogether for specific conversations? |
