I would like to use something like this:
@Embedded public List images = new ArrayList();
But I get a RuntimeException: bad type, not parameterized...
Is there another way to support this or would it be a feature request?

You can create another Model to store one image and then create a reference list to that model:
public class ImageRecord extends Model { public Blob image; }
public class MyModel extends Model { @referenced public List images; }
