Fullscreen scaling now persists when switching foreground windows

Is there a way to disable this?

That would also disable toolbar.

I don't see the point, why would you want to disable this?

Sometimes I leave the game running in the background to do other thing. Having it constantly scaled feel like a waste.

Agreed, rendering should pause when the foreground window is maximized or in fullscreen.

You can disable this feature by changing a single line of code:

that could we have the old fps counter back. As we can have an option to have both. that i am not the only one thinks of this.
