So rather than throw coffee at my keyboard I decided to pose the question here, I've given up with HA formatting. I've been using this wonderful integration to control my Growatt inverter charging for some time now and it works well. I want to tweak my overnight charging automation to also check what the import price is at 06:00. If it's going to be over a certain value, then I'll charge the battery for cheap earlier. If it's not too high, I'll skip the charging and leave it be. I need a template sensor to pull the 06:00 rate from the current day rates, but I can't sort the formatting. Can someone put me out of my misery please? |

I worked this out using the solution for a slightly different issue that's documented here. Basically set up another target rate for the time you want, then use a template sensor to parse the rate out of it. |
