Meter Reading with Octopus Mini

Is there a way to get a meter readings from the Octopus Mini, it just my meters have started to play up in regards to send meter readings to Octopus Energy, there just too random and hit and miss, I have not a had a bill since March and want to send in monthly readings, but I am disabled and it just not possible for me to go read the meters manually. I have tried contacting OE, and said there would get the contractors to contact me for a date to come and 'reboot' the meters, but I have heard nothing ( was 8 weeks ago).

Hello and sorry you've been having issues with your meter. There looks like there's a consumption field available in the API. I assume this should match your meter, but I can't guarantee this so your mileage will vary. I'll see if I can expose this within the next couple of weeks. I assume you're seeing regular mini data come through where this would be helpful?

oh, I guess this the OE online API, not the mini API, do you have a URL I could test ?

The mini data is reported via the GraphQL endpoint.

Run the following to get an access token

You should set an authorization header with the value JWT <<obtainKrakenToken.token>> for all queries going forward.

Run the query below to get your smart devices for the meter you want to target. I only have one.

The run the following to get the data for a given period (this will count towards your API limits)

I believe it's consumption that we want to expose, which is in wh.

so I take it that2457713.0 is 2457.713 in human (as it is in watts, not kWh) and 002457 is actual reading to submit ??

but GAS consumption does not look usable

my last gas reading was 721.139 m3 on the 1st Jun, has only used 1.983 m3 .

EDIT:

hmm looks likes it is in kWh as well, and with using 39.5 calorific value it does convert to to 722.998, which is about correct.

it would be great if you could add these to 3 new sensors, (Electric kWh reading, GAS kWh, and GAS m3 (converted))

Glad you managed to get the values. I'll try and add them within the next couple of weeks. Obv can't take responsibility about accuracy of the data compared to the actual readings on your meter, so there might be discrepancies.
