How get the number of rows in table ? No "rows" binding

Hi,
with the "new" table, there's no need anymore to use a data provider to get data.
One side effect, is that there is no binding available to get the number of rows displayed in a table (previously, the Data Provider Rows Length binding was providen such info).
And of course, adding a dataprovider and duplicating all table filters just to get this value is definitively overkill..

Anyone knows how to do ?

I really have mixed feelings about the table component, it's currently quite poor (I agree last improvement to be able to colorize rows or cell is a good step forward), and switching to a third party (SuperTable) just for basic things is not my preferred choice.

Having a binding for "rows" the same way we have a binding for "selected rows" seems obvious no ?
