I think we should allow the ability to choose "Options" any a particular field, when importing a CSV. I find it very annoying, not being able to do this right now - there is no workaround - you would have to re enter the data.
Seems like it would be easy to do.
suggest that we only allow it if there where <200 distinct values in the data, to avoid massive option lists.
What might be better, and cover more scenarios: allow conversion of an existing text column to options... i.e. after import.
