As a Reference Librarian, I want to generate statistical reports on page visits and DIP downloads to better understand how the collection is being consulted.

Use Google Universal Analytics with custom dimensions and event tracking. Track page views, Collection and Folder dimensions and ZIP download events.

  • Page view on all pages.
  • Collection dimension (added to Collection and descendants Folders and Digital Files view pages).
  • Folder dimension (added to Folder and descendant Digital Files pages).
  • Download event on button click.
  • Google Analytics API key and custom dimensions indexes editable via environment variables.
  • Estimate: 16 hours.
