How to use VSOMEIP_CONFIGURATION_<application> ?

As I read in #525 , there is VSOMEIP_CONFIGURATION_<application> to apply different IP address to services. How does it work? The documentation doesn't bring me anywhere. Anyone with experiences in it?

So what I tried is the following. I have two applications created in one binary.

I have two json-files ( see below). I use the following command to start the application:

env VSOMEIP_CONFIGURATION=vsomeip-local_first.json VSOMEIP_CONFIGURATION_SECONDAPP=vsomeip-local_second.json ./2Apps2Services

The problem is that my second application is initialized, but it does not "run". It should offer the service 0x1234.5678. In Wireshark, I can only see the first application sending its data. No hint of the second application (unicast address 170.170.170.3).

Any ideas from the below log, why the second app is not "running"?

We have checked this internally and this is still under implementation.

I wasn't aware of this mechanism, but we find it simpler to have multiple vsomeip directories and load them with VSOMEIP_CONFIGURATION. We also split our files up into logical sections (applications.json, services.json, sd.json, etc.) Could this setup work for you?

One other thing we do is build the configuration into the app, i.e. the CMake code converts the JSON config into a string where it is embedded into the app at build time. This also gets around how the config is organized at runtime. I've been planning to post a PR demonstrating this soon.

Yep. Though yesterday on my QNX setup I did notice there was some interfearance between the routing managers that I haven't yet narrowed down.

Also, ensure you build with ENABLE_MULTIPLE_ROUTING_MANAGERS and don't like the cfg lib.
