Description

The goal is to provide a super simple notification system to use for Capgo users.
And use it as well to send silent notif and wake the app to download the update.

Thanks for the feature idea — it’s a solid direction 💙

Quick triage thought: this issue currently mixes two separate goals:

1. user-visible push notifications for product teams
2. silent/background wake flow for update download

Those have different security/reliability constraints on iOS/Android, so splitting scope would make this much easier to ship safely.

If you’re still interested, I’d suggest we capture a short v1 spec here:

• who sends notifications (Capgo service only, or user backend too?)
• trigger model (push-only vs push + local fallback)
• expected updater behavior after wake (download only / download+install / policy gated)
• platform limits accepted for iOS background execution

Label suggestion: enhancement, needs-design.
