Releases: CheckerNetwork/node
v11.1.0
v11.0.0
This is a major release, in which we removed the log storage component, which has proven to cause issues on Windows and even Ubuntu. The previous approach of rotating log files - and tailing them to get state - unfortunately wasn't as cross platform compatible as we wished. On top, the devs couldn't reproduce any of the issues reported on their own machines.
From a user's perspective, this means that there's only command now: $ station. Consume its output to get latest activity and metrics. There is no historic inspection a la $ station logs any more. This shouldn't be an issue however, since most commonly Station Core will be run in an environment that is persisting logs anyway. You can use docker logs and journalctl -u station.service, for example.
In the future there might be a new component that introduces back statefulness, but nothing has been specified yet.
If you already have Station Core deployed, no change should be necessary on your side.
