Hello everyone,

some information in advance before I present my request:
Used Checkmk version: CEE 2.2.0p6
Used Grafana version: v9.5.5
Plugin version: 3.1.0
Plugin set to CEE and >= 2.2.0

The newest plugin versions from 3.0.0 and above use the graph colors from Checkmk directly instead of the colors provided by Grafana. For now, if the usage of the Grafana colors are preferred, one has to override the color settings for each panel separately, which is quiet time consuming for dozens of panels. Forgive me, if I overlooked a crucial setting, but is it possible to implement an data source option where one can select the preferred color mode?

Thank you in advance!

We discussed this internally, and we don't oppose the idea, but we probably won't have any time for this feature as we will concentrate on stability of the existing features.

Hi Benedikt,
the last abswer is now about 1 year... do you have any news about this?
I've testing the Checkmk Grafana plugin every 2-3 month but what I have to say is nothing for here..
It's unusable because it hase several problems and standards are broken... for example to change the color also with Grafana thresholds or filter mechanism... for example if i use alle services with regular expression I can not filter timeseries which are completly zero (0) or remove it by name... so i have to configure all manually... and so on :(

before you make a freeze for stability, you should have a minimum of feature who make it usable...

hope to cu on CMKconference #10

Can you give me instructions how to reproduce your problems? What do I have to do to see the problems you described and what would you expect to happen? Can you give me an example with a different datasource where this works as expected?

From your current description I'm not convinced that this is really connected to setting default colors of the graph.

Looking forward to having a chat on the conference.

Hi Benedict, ass discussed at #CheckmkConferennce10 here are more information.

When created an Graph with multiple single queries from the Checkmk source all Queries have the same color (from Checkmk) and this can not be overwritten. It would be nice to change this and I hope this is not very complicated ;)

Thanks
Frank

+1
it would be great to give the ability to change the colors
we have many dashboards that played on our TV
all the values with diff thresholds with the same colors...
