Where should we hang out? #45

Thanks Areg — that's genuinely kind, and it means a lot to be named here. I should be honest with you, though, because I don't want any misunderstanding: I'm not a developer at all. I'm an enthusiastic user of iai-pme. The code in my PRs is written by AI agents that I direct — what I actually bring is real-world use, testing on my own setup, the bug reports and diagnostics, and ideas about where this could go. The coding itself I leave to the AIs. I'd rather you know that up front than take me for something I'm not. With that said, I'm really happy to keep helping that way — testing, reporting, and throwing ideas around (working memory and a frontend both sound great to me). On the venue: I'm easy, with a slight lean toward something text-based. Discord or GitHub Discussions both work for me — whatever most of the group will actually use. Count me in either way. 🤖 Designed by Marsu — Refined by Claude |

Sounds like we've got our answer: GitHub it is. Fine by me — it keeps everything in one place, next to the code and the ideas, and anyone new who finds the repo finds the conversation too. Happy to move to General whenever you want to open it up. @danielhertz1999-bit — thanks for being that honest, that takes guts. Really glad this project landed at the right time for you, and glad you're here. Same boat, all of us. |

Happy to collab on GitHub. I'll be honest: I am an engineer, though I am not usually a hobby coder, please don't hold it against me :D. Everyone starts somewhere with computing and development, AI has lowered the barriers of entry, which is a good thing in my opinion. You have to be more careful with review and all of that to ensure that there are not methods of exploit, but for a wholly-offline tool, those risks are lower, though not non-existent. Anyway, looking forward to the future of this project, it looks like it is pretty cool and has promise. |

This is honestly great to hear. You’ve built something people actually care about, and it shows in how everyone’s contributing. I’m definitely in for having a proper place to talk and share ideas instead of just PR comments. Personally, Discord or GitHub Discussions would work best for me, but I’m fine with whatever most people prefer. The main thing is having an active space where we can collaborate easily. Also, random but useful thought How to Get Gum Out of Hair naturally it reminds me how simple solutions can solve annoying problems, just like we’re trying to do here with iai-pme. Looking forward to what we build next. |

Wow I'm late to the party but just wanted to thank the group for the
inclusion! I work in IT and have an education background in CS but I don't
spend my day-to-day as a Developer. I guess that puts me somewhere between
vibecoder and engineer. Happy and excited to contribute in any way I can!

Hey @Marsu6996 @danielhertz1999-bit @joerybka @MoppelMat @gardinermichael @warplayer —
You've all put real work into iai-pme — code, fixes, the Windows port, testing on hardware I don't even own. It's become more of a team thing than I expected, and I'm grateful for it.
I'd like a spot where we can actually talk instead of only trading PR comments — kick ideas around and figure out what to build next (working memory and a frontend are on my list).
I don't want to force a platform, because not everyone likes the same one. So where would you actually want this? A subreddit, Discord, right here in GitHub Discussions, Telegram/Matrix, whatever you'd genuinely use. Throw out your options and we'll go with whatever most of us will actually show up to.
Thanks again, seriously. — Areg
