Passphrase length is number of characters?
I have 17 but the examples don’t add up correctly.
Please explain. Thank you

Also, I just have the public address where the funds were received only, is that supposed to be AddrUnComp?

Also, does it need to be connected to the Internet when running?

For mnemonic passphrase it is number of characters (I need to update that) since it doesn't have the search space option. But for BIP38 and bitcoin core wallet passphrases because there is a search space option, you have to split your passphrase into "limbs". Each limb can be anything, a single character or a whole word.
Lets say your passphrase is BlAck%HawK and you know you used the two words "black" and "hawk" in your passphrase and separated them with a symbol but don't know the spelling you used and the symbol. So you first set the password length to 3 to indicate 3 "limbs". Then you set permutations for each limb. For example:

• "black", "Black", "bLack", "BlAck", ...
• "@", "%", "$", ...
• "Hawk", "Haaaawk", "HawK",...

The code will take care of the rest.

Unless your address is very old, the compressed public key was used to generate it so the address type should be set to "AddrComp". If you are unsure set it to "AddrBoth".
