TextBox Extensions for SurfaceDial not working for CommunityToolkit WinUI 3 for desktop

I am getting a XAML parsing error
Microsoft.UI.Xaml.Markup.XamlParseException: 'XAML parsing failed.'
when using this code example in the XAML for TextBox:

<ui:SurfaceDialOptions StepValue="1"
RotationResolutionInDegrees="12"

Is this not available for Win UI3 for .NET 6 desktop as the target or am I missing something ?

Interesting. This is probably related to a CoreWindow issue, so we need to find the Win32 equivalent of this API to migrate it.
@michael-hawker do you happen to know the equivalent for RadialController.CreateForCurrentView()?

would REALLY appreciate a fix as this is the whole reason to modernize my app to WinUI3 ( to use the surface dial ). thanks!!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention @victorchinn, I've opened an issue for tracking here: #4573

Our 8.0 release is a ways away though, and we don't currently have plans for a hotfix in the interim as I don't believe we have many other open issues at the moment. If we accumulate enough, it's something we may consider. The other option is if we pull this code into our upcoming Labs environment as we work towards our refactor of the Toolkit code base. It could be a good test case for some of these types of differences.

The other option is if we put the fix in our branch, then there should at least be a nightly build you'd be able to consume.

For now I'll close this discussion and we can continue it in the new open issue.
