The announcement module doesn't include @ mentions and emojis from Slack display in the : text : format. It also displays Slack's markup in it's original forms (test should be bolded etc..)

Okay, so here's the thing about the Slack Events API, it doesn't provide the option to get just plaintext when I'm receiving events. Keep in mind when I'm posting this, the Slack developers add things all the time. As of now, theres no way to get rid of any of Slack's text markup without regexing it all and I really don't want to spend the absurd amount of time it'll take to write my own version of Slack's markup when there's a good chance in the future they'll just create an easy way to do it. That being said, if someone wanted to write it up, they're welcome. Since new custom emoji's are added all the time it's impossible for me to incorporate them as images, I'd have to wait for support in that aspect as well.
