+crypto prices are continuous + observable. a market asking "will btc be above $120k on march 3?" with closing on march 1 is broken — if btc is $119k on march 1, bettors can see the price and the pool just rebalances. no real uncertainty exists. sports/esports are ideal: outcome is truly unknown until the match ends. this is why horse racing invented pari-mutuel 100+ years ago — race outcome is unknowable until horses cross the finish line.
