Hello 👋 I'm the maintainer of cargo-semver-checks, and I just noticed this issue. Sorry the tool isn't providing a better experience! I hate when tools do the wrong thing — cargo-semver-checks needs do better here.

Issues like cross-crate item checking require several months of focused work to solve, and I've been having a hard time finding funding for the project. I get it. I think the open-source world has massive problems when it comes to funding and sometimes these very odd expectations of self-sacrifice from OSS maintainers. Good on you that you're fighting!
