Mostly tweaks, this feature is working but the interaction feels a bit stiff and it seems like sometimes the state can get stuck.

Would be nice to fade-in/fade-out the menu-button that appears beside the output-port. This provides better visual cues as to what is going on.
Check timers/transitions are correctly executed. Perhaps remove the menu button if an edge is being created manually.
