some text searches give no results?

I think we have encountered this problem before, but here I noticed it specific to one manuscript. Searching Salzinnes for "Re":fine

"Rex": not fine

"RExi": actually fine again!

This and #788 are caused by the same thing as the search issue you identified all the way back in #647, which has to do with volpiano strings that are invalid -- rather than handling these, an error occurs that causes all of the search results not to show (even if the search results weren't even going to show the volpiano, as is the case with a full text or mode search)....this is one of the main reasons I built the volpiano display utility earlier this summer, but this reminds me that it's high time to get the utility up on Cantus Ultimus!
