I'm uncertain if we want this to be available, but if we do we might what to add it either as a dropdown under 'manuscripts', or linked somewhere on the "about" page.

We only display a link to that page in the header on the development version of the website. Frankly, it's been so long since I have used that page that I forgot about it until now. I don't really think there is a use for it, so would propose that we remove the page entirely and keep whatever list of manifests we want to keep in some file in this repository (but not on the webpage).

I like that; I definitely only encountered it/thought of it when I was on my MS73 scavenger hunt trying to 1) find the images and 2) figure out the tiling+cantaloupe fiasco. I can toss it all in a spreadsheet today and put it in a relevant place in the repo today?

There's this already, btw: https://github.com/DDMAL/cantus/blob/main/app/public/data_dumps/manifests.csv

Which is slightly different than what's shown in that manifest page.

I'm going to turn this issue into implementing the approach outlined above:

  • remove the IIIF manifests page
  • make sure the manifests.csv is synced with what's on that page currently
