Browsers gebruiken automatisch https voor url’s tenzij de gebruiker expliciet http:// intypt. Dit is niet gebruiksvriendelijk en resulteert in veel fouten bij onze gebruikers.

This behavior can be turned off:

Open Chrome .
At the top right, tap More. Settings.
Tap Privacy and Security.
Tap Security.
Turn off Always use secure connections.

This behaviour is indeed related to the certificate issue.

It can indeed be turned off. However, since we do not have control over the settings of the devices that access the ElimuPi and our audience is not so computer savvy, avoiding this security warning is favourable.
