v0.9 ‐ Incineration
Create: Garnished has major plans for the next update, v0.9 - Incineration! It is nether-based, meaning the majority of the features will only be accessible via the nether. However, some features may not be nether-related, so keep an eye out for those as well! Incineration will hopefully be released within the next month or two but may be postponed if there are any issues/bugs that are still prevalent before release. Of course, the release may still experience some minor issues but will be polished before release to avoid any major conflicts.
Crushed Warped Fungus, Crushed Crimson Fungus, and Crushed Shroomlight are added in this update! These items are used in several new food items, which can be found below:
- Wrapped Warped Tangle
- Wrapped Crimson Tangle
- Weeping Tangle
- Grim Stew
- Tophet Brew
- Blazing Delight
- Cinder Shroom Roll
In order to obtain Crushed Warped Fungus, Crushed Crimson Fungus, or Crushed Shroomlight you have to either provide the respective item to a Millstone or to a pair of Crushing Wheels.
Ender Dust is also being added, obtained via supplying a Millstone or a pair of Crushing Wheels with an Ender Pearl. It's used in the Blazing Delight and Cinder Shroom Roll recipes.

Bottled Fermented Cashew Mixture is an alch- a new drink item that provides little saturation and little nutrition, with a 5% chance of giving the consumer Nausea for 3 whole minutes. But, it would also have a 5% chance (alongside Nausea or by itself) to provide the consumer with what is functionally "Potent Strength".
This is still a Work in Progress feature, so some more related features may come soon!
Wrapped Warped and Crimson Tangle are both made using Silica Hardened Wrap, which is made by first pressing paper, then applying iron nuggets, and finally nether quartz.
Wrapped Warped Tangle has an 80% chance to provide the player with regular Resistance 2 for 45 seconds.
Wrapped Crimson Tangle has an 80% chance to provide the player with Fire Resistance 2 for 45 seconds.
The recipe for each of the Wrapped Tangles, respectively, includes you applying the Crushed Fungus variant you wish to use and then applying Almond Cheese.
You also can create Weeping Tangle, which provides the player with increased saturation and nutrition. It can be made via an assembly line using Almond Cheese as a base item, with the steps (in order) being listed below:

- Apply Crushed Crimson Fungus
- Apply Crushed Shroomlight
Tophet Brew and Grim Stew provide the player with a luscious meal, providing plenty of saturation and nutrition. The assembly line and mechanical crafting recipes are provided below:

Do you like PB&J Sandwiches? Too bad! Here's a Peanut Oil & Cinder Sandwich! This abnormal food can be created by pressing a piece of bread, then using a spout to provide it with 250mb of Peanut Oil, and finally applying a piece of Cinder Flour.
Yes, 5 updates past when Powdered Garnish was introduced, it is finally in the Creative Mode Tab! The item itself could still be searched for in the Creative Menu, but wasn't available in the actual Create: Garnished tab. This is fixed in v0.9!
Blazing Delight is a new food item that provides the player with enough saturation and nutrition to last for a long time! It takes longer to consume as opposed to a regular food item or drink, as it is a fulfilling meal. Once you have consumed one, you will be granted an Empty Crimson Tusk, which acts similar to a glass bottle in this case. You can reuse the Empty Crimson Tusks in the Blazing Delight mechanical crafting recipe, which can be found below:
- Ender Dust - Enflamed Mandible - Crushed Shroomlight
- Blank - Crimson Tusk - Blank
A regular Crimson Tusk can be created by an assembly line, which is also shown below:

Aversion is a new status effect that disallows you from eating any nut-related foods. Walnuts? DON'T. Almond Cheese? NEVER. Wrapped Warped Tangle? NOT SAFE. You can eat a Putrid Stew however to cure it, but it will provide you with nausea for 10 additional seconds upon consumption. Speaking of nausea, you get Nausea 3 for 20 seconds if you consume nuts whilst afflicted by Aversion.
Aversion also provides you with -15% attack damage and -25% movement speed.
You can obtain Aversion by brewing Brittle Dust with Awkward Potions. Brittle Dust can be obtained by milling or crushing Scorchia. The base length of Aversion Potions is 2 minutes. However, this can be increased to 3 minutes by brewing it again with Redstone.
Putrid Stew can be crafted by combining a bowl, 2 slimeballs, 1 rotten flesh, and 1 bone in a crafting grid, in a regular crafting table or via automated crafting.
You can now find Sepia Fungus and Soul Roots naturally generating in Soul Sand Valleys!
Sepia Fungus can be crushed and made into its crushed variant, which can then be used for a multitude of items and features! One of which is Wrapped Sepia Tangle, which provides the consumer with Spirited Resistance 2 for 45 seconds! Similar to its other crimson and warped counterparts, however, it is only applied based on an 80% chance.
Crafting 3 of any cracked nut in a 1x3 grid provides you with 2 Nut Flour. This can be used as an alternative way of getting regular dough provided by the Create mod by washing Nut Flour.
Applying bone meal onto Sepia Fungus will provide you with a sepia "tree." With this, some new wood-related blocks and items have been added! The currently implemented decoration blocks for this wood set are listed below:

A Spirited Concoction can made in a crafting grid by using a bowl, 2 Senile Dust, 1 Crushed Sepia, Warped, and Crimson Fungus, as well as 1 Soul Root. It provides you with Spirited Resistance for 45 seconds.
A Soul Khana can be made in a crafting grid by using a bowl, 2 Crushed Sepia Fungus and 2 Soul Roots. It provides you with Invisibility for 2 minutes, as well as Speed for 2 and a half minutes.
Senile Dust can be created by haunting a piece of Brittle Dust. This item can be used to create Spirited Concoctions or Crimson Tusks.
Yep, you can now make Nut Nachos from compacting 1 piece of Nut Flour in a basin, which will give you 2 Nut Nachos.
Using 4 Nut Nachos, 1 Almond Cheese and a bowl, you can make yourself a Bowl of Nut Nachos.
Farmer's Delight Integration and Compatibility is coming to Create: Garnished! Many of the bowl-based and bottled drinks now include recipes integrated with the Cooking Pot, and a few more items have been added that you can create if you have Farmer's Delight installed.
The first integrated items are Phantom Patty and the Phantom Burger! The Phantom Patty can be made by cutting Phantom Steak on a Cutting Board using any knife added by Farmer's Delight. The Phantom Burger can be made by using a Phantom Patty, 1 Senile Dust, 1 Soul Root, and 1 piece of Bread.
Pecan Pie can now be cut on a Cutting Board using a knife added by Farmer's Delight in order to get 4 Slices of Pecan Pie.
Senile Spread can be used on Soul Sand and Soul Soil, similarly to Bone Meal, to generate Soul Roots, Sepia Fungus, and occasionally Crimson Roots
You can make 4 variations of Senile Sweets, which all can be used to brew certain potion effects. You can make these foods by utilizing the same assembly line, just with different base ingredients, which are: Blackstone, Basalt, Scoria, and Scorchia.
