How do I see my usage statistics? I want to know how much value this tool is really adding.

Good question, and the honest answer has two halves.

There are no usage statistics collected about you, and there never will be. The project runs fully locally and collects no telemetry — README.md:273 states it plainly: "codebase-memory-mcp runs 100% locally and collects no telemetry — your code, queries, environment, and usage never leave your machine." So there is no dashboard, no account, and no server-side record of how often you used a tool. That is a deliberate trade: it also means when someone reports a slow memory climb we have no data unless they choose to send it.

What you can see locally, which is probably what you actually want:

• The built-in UI has a Stats tab (graph-ui/src/components/StatsTab.tsx) showing the shape of your indexed graph — node and edge counts, label breakdown, and per-project figures.
• index_status reports the state of a given index, and list_projects enumerates what has been indexed.
• get_architecture gives a structural summary of a project, which is a reasonable proxy for how much the graph actually captured.

On the real question — how much value is this adding — I would rather not oversell it: graph size is not the same as usefulness. The measurable version is whether your agent stops grepping. If your assistant answers "who calls this function" or "where is this configured" from the graph in one call instead of reading a dozen files, the win shows up as fewer tool calls and less context burned, and that is visible in your client rather than here.

If you had a specific metric in mind that is not in the Stats tab, say which one — that is a reasonable feature request and I would rather hear it than guess.
