There was varying lab contamination found during the baseline survey. No lab contamination has been found in R1, R2, or R3 surveys.
Overall, the contamination found was limited to total coliform. No lab/field blanks tested positive for E. coli. 1 control village, 3 treatment, and 1 backup village had the contamination in their samples.
I don't think I did the best job of addressing this contamination in the moment. Generally, total coliform contamination is not as extreme as E. coli. I think what was happening at the time is that we would see contamination in samples one day, but then not see it the following day and so it gave us false confidence that it had been addressed, only to occur again like a week later. We switched water bottle brands for these tests a couple of times and thought it had addressed it. In retrospect, we should have shut down the survey for a couple of days and tested multiple bottle brands to identify the contamination.

1 field blank had 2 large positive wells for total coliform. No positive wells for E. coli

1 field blank had 3 positive wells for total coliform. No positive wells for E. coli.
Lab blank was all negative
Nov 8 - Mariguda
1 field blank had 2 large positive wells for total coliform. No positive wells for E. coli
Lab blank was all negative
Nov 9 - Gopi Kankubadi
1 field blank had 1 large positive well for total coliform. No positive wells for E. coli
Lab blank was all negative
Nov 17 - Hathikamba (backup village)
1 field blank had 1 small well positive for total coliform. No positive wells for E. coli
Second field blank was negative
2 lab blanks were also negative
