TODO for HTTomo-GPU release

For the GPU release of HTTomo we need the following tasks completed. Please feel free to modify and create separate issues where needed.

Major (needs to be done)

• Integrate async image saver from httomolib into httomo #246
• Processed GPU block not being freed before next block is transferred #244
• CPU memory leak from reader and writer objects not getting garbage collected across iterations over sections #264
• DezingingWrapper keeping projections in GPU memory while transferring darks/flats to GPU memory causes CUDA OOM #245
• When no errors encountered in the benchmarks and the tests passing on feature/transparent-file-store, merge Add transparent file store and "block loader" #198
• Complete YAML checker and merge Yaml checker changes #201
• Merge Gpu memory loop [WIP] #156 (not 100% sure if this should go later, but this is the earliest point it could be merged)
• Right after the merge above, merge the following and see that tests pass for them all, as well as httomo:
  • httomolib: Gpuloop branch depedency in httomo httomolib#8
  • httomolibgpu: fixes to go with the gpuloop PR in httomo httomolibgpu#113
• Check tomopy, httomolib, and httomolibgpu YAML templates for any required updates #252
• Documentation update #282
• Sort out versions of dependencies #249
• Check that the cashed kernel path is set CUDA kernels compiled by cupy are cached in home dir -> watch out for home dir quota at DLS #243
• Install httomo in dls_sw
• Update and test launcher https://gitlab.diamond.ac.uk/scisoft/tomography/httomo_dls/-/issues/1
• Apply black or ruff formatting before the release
• Update LICENSE before release #227
• Update README.rst before release #251

• Include slices transferred in block processing logging #261
