Python 3 Support

I am working on upgrading the extension to work in Python3.

Just wondering if there is a reason this hasn't been done?

It should work right?

Also, planning on releasing to official extensions to help out with install.

If it doesn't work with python 3 then that's a regression, I haven't used this in a while (and never got around to setting up autotesting properly) but I used it primarily with python 3 and only added python 2 support as an afterthought.

When you say official extensions do you mean pypi?

Yea, there is some trouble with Python 3. I ran the 2to3 converter, then made some further changes, but did not finish. Was reconsidering my workflow.

Yes, I am thinking of publishing to pypi if possible. Just to ease install.
