Let me add some more details. You can run up to Monterey without AVX2, and you would need to edit the VMX file to remove the check:

It is possible to run later versions but requires additional KEXT and settings and it's not something I'm personally interested in doing. I also have no way of testing if it worked. The project is close to being done for me if and when Tahoe is useable in VMware and I can deliver the changes required. Of course anyone is free to fork the repo and add that into the OpenCore image. |
