Modal dialogs

I love the application but honestly it shouldn't have modal dialogs or at least a way to minimize modal dialog windows as there are time when you have to wait for some action to complete (like downloading EDDB dumps, or even calculating a trade route) and while you are at it you want to browse some websites and you literally can't because modal dialog gets in a way. Just seriously this is the most thing I hate about this application. Please get rid of it or at least make the pain go away by allowing modal windows to be minimized

Don't know if this is apart of the above , but the loading screen is fixed , and gets in the way also
