Describe the bug
When loading into the world, the game either freezes completely or crashes. If it crashes, I get the Crash Report, but if it freezes the launcher tells me I might need more RAM. It's random what I get.

To Reproduce
I'll be real this is a very specific situation (see context)

This is as far as I get, I hear my weapon being switched out and my tamed creature makes a sound, and then it freezes.

Additional context
I used Xaero's World Map to teleport to a location and when I got there the game froze. Now it freezes or crashes when I try to load that specific world.

Crashes

  • Are you running the latest version of Dynamic Trees? - I'm running 0.9.29, which is current for 1.12.2
  • What addons are you using? - Quuuiiiiite a few...
  • Are you on the latest version for each addon? - I just updated everything today

Forgot to mention I have 25 GB of RAM allocated to Minecraft, so that is likely not the issue.

Editing my NBT data to move my player position was ineffective as I always loaded into the same position, but this last time I was killed by a fire dragon and the game froze on the death screen. Reopening the game leaves me frozen on the death screen again.

WITH THE HELP OF AN AUTOCLICKER I MANAGED TO HIT RESPAWN

I also allocated a total of 28 GB of RAM (That is literally all I can spare) When I got out of the affected chunks the game ran fine, if a little laggy. However when I opened LAN with cheats and went into creative mode to recover my items, as I was flying to the location, there was some verrrry weird things going on. I'm not sure print screen managed to capture it before the game crashed. There was black artifacting all over the screen coming from the ground, like something was having a serious render issue. It's kind of strange because the only rendering program I'm using that I know of is Optifine HD U G5

I managed to get back in and it moved me to a previous location, so I'll get a video of it.

It. May take a while to upload. I'll probably have to do it overnight and post it tomorrow. It already took long enough to record

My cat woke me up early, so here's the video now I guess

Hi I'm back! I did some more testing and I think I can rule out Ice and Fire or any graphical errors. I'm pretty sure I gave Minecraft too much RAM yesterday which was causing the weird visual glitches.

As for it not being Ice and Fire, well I narrowed down the exact spot that was causing the issue (using the data from the crash report) and it's not really close to any "old" dragon hoards like I thought might've been the cause.

Take a look:

At the suggestion of a friend, I removed Dynamic Trees and started a copy of my world to see if it fixed the issue. It did, of course, but now I have no more trees.

This is what the affected spot looks like without the mod, maybe this will help:

He also suggested turning down render distance so that only what I could see would be removed, so I did that and just teleported to the affected chunk to remove the tree. When I added the Dynamic Trees mod back into the folder, the spot the tree was at now has a block in it?

Upon closer inspection it seems to be the block where the roots are located
{D296AE01-E1F3-4045-9EBE-B1A55F3AD1EC}

And the nearby trees have dots of wood and no branches or trunk in them:

The leaves are decaying but not the floating bits of wood...

ANYWAY. This seems to have solved my problem temporarily, but I would appreciate if someone could look into this!
