Unremovable waypoints

Ive been using the tp mod for a while, and i also have xaeros maps installed. For some reason after updating all my mods today, my tp points show up as a waypoint. i try deleting the visual waypoints but they just keep coming back. did the same for my gf's pc but she doesnt have the issue, our configs should be basically identical as i manage both pcs and set everything up.

These waypoints cannot be deleted due to it synchronized with intervals determined by config. The default interval is 60s. If you delete a waypoint, it will be added again after the interval has reached since last synchronization.

It is a new feature of tpc v1.3 and if you don't like it, you can disable it by this command /teleportcommands disable xaero. Then these waypoints can be deleted. If you don't delete them manually, they will be all deleted when you exit (singleplayer: exit and re-enter, server: client exit and re-enter).

I'd like to help you to deal with this problem. Maybe a client-side switch will be added to decide whether it gets synced from server.

Aaa okay it makes sense why it’s there. I have no problem with the feature it’s just my adhd brain dislikes the visible waypoint icon in the middle of my house lol, if I can just disable that it’s perfect so will definitely do that when I get home from work.

I tried reading the modrinth page to see if the command you just shared is there and I could’ve been just blind and not seen it but if it isn’t maybe just pop it there(will defs help me and maybe a few others)

But otherwise really loving the mod as it helps me get to certain far away areas quickly when working on stuff I don’t have to do a 30 min walk back to base to get one thing I forgot

Only other thing id like to ask, when i teleport somewhere, say i do /home for my home teleport to grab something. is there a way to add like a /tpb command? that teleports you back to where you were before i teleported? would be a nice little quality of life feature

It seems that you want a "undo the completed but wrong teleportation action" feature. The method is clear that mod remembers the place (coordinate) you executed a teleport command and then teleport you back when you execute such command as /tpb. This feature is seen in some Plugin-Server and obviously it is easy to implement.

However, there are some troubling issues that need to be discussed. Whether or not the remembered place should be kept after player exits the server, and how long should the coordinate be kept? Will it cause any troubles when loading and unloading chunks? It might not be considered as problem in other mods or plugins, but I notice them and I think I should consider them.

Anyway, it will be a future feature, I think. I'd like to try implementing it.

Besides, there are some of my friends noticing me that maybe a unique option is needed to control whether a designated waypoint of homes and warps should display on maps. Do you think it is needed? It might cause some interesting code changes.

In regards to this, in terms of saving data of the teleports, i think it could maybe save the data untill the player does a different tp command, which it then replaces the "tpb" location to where the player was before the new teleport, and when a player leaves the server or say i close my singleplayer world the data should be deleted as its no longer necessary to be kept. Also would get rid of the need to constantly keep data

what do you think of that as a means of only keeping current "important" coordinates until changed?

i would 100% agree, having it as say a togglable feature either with a settings gui or just a simple command(which would be more than enough) would be a nice feature. It would give players the choice to show it if they want/need. Or say someones doing a neater tp layout or wants to see all the points the can do something like "/config xaero show true" and it pops up. which i mean you technically already have that feature now that i think of it, the command you sent me at the start of this

The /tpb (I thought of a new one called ctp, which means "cancel tp") to correspond with tpc, and a switch for each waypoint to control whether to show on map is scheduled to implement in v1.5. As is seen, v1.4 has been finished and you can check what it updates in changelog.md, but I plan not to release it for the time being. It is a version that has extensively refactored code and fixed many bugs. Due to it changing too many I have to upgrade my version number to 1.4 instead of 1.3.1 which looks like a slight bug-fix version.
