Pikaboo is a search application that calls Poke API for information about different pokemon, items, and locations.

During the past few months, alot of people around the world have started to reflect on experiences that they use to take for granted - the daily interactions and the small conversations with friends kept at a distance during the pandemic.

Our Snap Mini seeks to strengthen these relationships by using the popular game called Pokemon.

Since the word for friend in Japanese is Tomodachi, we decided to name our Snap Mini “PokeGachi”

In PokeGachi, users can take care of a specific Pokemon and evolve it with friends. The more people chat, the faster their Pokemon levels up! They won't be limited to just one Pokemon. More conversations on Snapchat means more Pokemon to level up. Users can even see their Pokemon on the Pikaboo website for more details.

They can view information about the specific pokemon, such as species name, region, and other fun facts you would find in a Pokedex dictionary found in the games!
