Mr Chandler the developer of Live stream downloader tells me today he does not encounter this problem and he can playback the temporary video while it is downloading ..... this prompted me to install updated chrome browser for windows 7 made by Mr @Blaukovitch : https://github.com/Blaukovitch/GOOGLE_CHROME_Windows_7 and the dream comes true !! Mr @K4sum1 , to summarize the solution i find for chromium browsers that maybe can help firefox based browsers : the fault is that I changed a default parameter, and to make Supermium even lighter, I disabled many things including the option "continue running applications in the background after closing chrome"! chrome://settings/system just reactivate this option and the problem is fixed alhamdoulilAllah! Thanks and glory to God Allah the only God of all people! disabling this option also messed up destroy preview feature with vlc and potplayer when I use open in vlc extension and and cat catch! open in vlc extension add initial support for potplayer and qmplay2, this is awesome news alhamdoullAllah ! for cat catch extension, i remember in m3u8 parser settings, we must disable "ffmpeg transcod" and we must enable "stream download" option to display temporary video and playback it while downloading ! |

UPDATE : Disaster catastrophe, the m3u8 parser does not work anymore but I found the solution ! so, i use chromium 134, with the new version of Cat catch, i try to download hls video : https://v6.voiranime.com/?filter=subbed i click on the "parser" button of the small pop-up window, then as usual i click on the "merge and download" button, normally the unified temporary hls video is displayed in the download folder but nothing is displayed in the download folder, i wait for all the slices to finish downloading then i press the download button of the m3u8 parser and there no download is displayed and the video is not downloaded despite all the slices downloaded! i tried clicking on different buttons, nothing works until i regain my composure, i click on parser, then i click on "send to ffmpeg online", and there the temporary video is displayed in the download folder and the download of the whole vieo succeeds ..... i went from anxiety to relief, but i have to do more tests because i remember in the past that the "send to ffmpeg online" button caused a weird download of the temporary video i.e. video passages were repeated in a loop...... |

UPDATE IMPORTANT : there is 2 good news : the first good news, I tried several times, go to m3u8 parser of cat catch and then click on "send to ffmpeg online" works without bug or problem and the temporary video is displayed and I playback while downloading! 2nd good news is I clicked on "merge donwnload" in the m3u8 parser page in firefox browser and temporary hls video unfiée the download folder is displayed and I can playback while downloading when I use firefox and Cat catch !! but i need to do more tests with firefox to confirm the persistence of this discovery..... |

Good news! about bug that temporary video is not displayed in Supermium, Catsxp, Yandex..... i contacted the Yandex browser support team about this problem, and the response from Yandex support fixed the problem of not displaying temporary hls video!! Here is the response from Yandex support team that fixes the problem of temporary video is not displayed: “Hello, The situation may have been caused by the current browser profile or installed extensions. In order to check this you need to create a new profile and try to repeat this behavior in it. Please click the navigation icon (≡) → Settings → Add user. A new browser window will open. Check if the issue persists with the new profile. Do not delete the old profile when creating a new one, as it contains all your data, such as bookmarks, passwords, etc. Please inform me about the results." in Supermium, i don't need to delete my user profile but because i decide to click on the "restore defaults setting" of Supermium browser which fixes the problem and restore default settings allow to display temporary video, thank you! we hope such feature of display temporary hls video will be added to R3dfx please, after my request , great Mr E3kskoy7wqk and great Mr Blaukovitch added new updated firefox kernel for windows 7 os 32 bits and we hope please the great R3dfox will do the same or do collaboration with these friends browsers, thanks ! |

However, the m3u8dl:// protocol is not currently supported. You need to use the https://github.com/xifangczy/URLProtocol tool. Download URLProtocol and N_m3u8DL-RE and put them together, open the URLProtocol tool, fill in the protocol name m3u8dl, click the Select Target Program button, select N_m3u8DL-RE.exe and click Add. The registration of RE is completed. If you have registered the protocol with N_m3u8DL-CLI before, please use the CLI's --unregisterUrlProtocol parameter to uninstall it. UPDATE : Hi, I found an interesting thing, on chromium, I decided to disable javascript because I use streaming sites that display a lot of external windows, pop ups... i.e. I only enable javascript on the site that interests me, in order to avoid possible malwares, and with javascript disabled, there is download but the temporary video is no longer displayed in the download folder, i.e. there is a download but the temporary hls video is not displayed in my downloads folder , it's the same behavior as firefox, so I suppose firefox which does not allow to display temporary video while downloading using cat catch extension or live stream downloader, I suppose firefox has disabled a flag related to javascript to prevent the display of the temporary video while downloading.... This is an interesting lead to explore, because as soon as I reactivated javascript on all sites, temporary hls video is displayed while downloading |

Hi, sadly, in R3dofx browser, i can't see and playback video while downloading :(
I can't see the temporary video in the download folder of R3dfox, this is sad because it is vital for me because my internet connection is very weak and online streaming videos jerk lag in the browser and the download of the video can be very slow and I do not want wait for the video to finish downloading, my secret was to use catsxp browser based on recent chromium kernel and to go to the m3u8 parser settings of Cat-Catch extension, I activate the "stream download" option and I deactivate "ffmpeg transcod" but my trick no longer works in the recent update of chromium kernel 131 i.e. in Catsxp browser and i can't see and playback the temporary video anymore in recent update of chromium :
