No errors or warnings that show what could be going wrong. All textures are present. Doesn't seem to be male/female issue. These guys may appear different depending on the angle, and sometimes are invisible. To replicate, use spawn egg to spawn a bunch of these guys and hopefully you see it too.

I have re-posted this issue here; luanti-org/luanti#13423

Random texture depending on view angle - OR - renders full white or black. I experience these exact same effects on multiple machines with completely different hardware and across Windows and Linux.

CalebJ on Tunnelers' Abyss claims to have fixed this issue as one w/ paleotest and not the engine, but he didn't want to share his code with me. he might be willing to help someone else figure out the solution, though.

i'm not a paleotest user and have too many other things to debug, good luck.
