A Discord server?

Hi guys, I wonder if you would like to join a new Discord that I would create to share our experience on the app and make this project more engaging and cooperative.

I should assign the task of moderation and maintenance of that hypothetical server to several people, since it is something that I cannot spend my time alone with, much less under personal circumstances.

I look forward to ideas on how to organize everything. Honestly, I don't have much knowledge in setting up servers on Discord today, but this could be a great opportunity for that to stop being true.

i'd advice against. channels/chats/discords/slacks are always a mess. they generate engagement by forcing everyone to read it constantly or be left behind and clueless about whatever things are being discussed.

issues and other specialized tools are orders of magnitude more efficient in all aspects of software development. they keep stuff separate, organized, and searchable, with obvious documentation of the resolution for each incident (even if it is simply invalid or wontfix). anyone who need to can easily dive into a topic and find all the info they need when they need it, and nothing else. discussions can sprout form issues, bugs, commits, lines of code, etc, or be more general (with the added benefit of not needing a separate identity in a different system).

especially if you have little time for this project, don't go for a discord. if you had time to waste and wanted to "hang out", then go for it.

@ElJaviLuki but a key thing with issues is: don't let them hanging. timely resolve them somehow, even if it means closing them because you don't have time to fix them.

I could help with moderation, and I think a Discord server would be pretty cool. Not much management would be needed at first considering this seems to be a project only a few people actively participate in, so the server wouldn't be so large, and there are ways to handle issues in Discord now, so it wouldn't be a mess as @Lanchon mentioned.

You can create channels specific for issue handling and only allow topics to be posted there, so the issues are grouped in topics and don't get lost in the debate.

I think it's a great idea! I've never used Discord though so it would be a learning curve. But to tell you the truth I'm new to all this Xposed and such which brings me to my question of why I'm here so I have my device and I was wondering what are some of the best modules to install in general and what are the ones that benefit grindr. If I may I have one other question there's a VM of exposed, I have been trying to install Grindr in that and test it out but I'm just not you used to have that particular VM wants things and I can't figure it out. I guess my question is can somebody install grinder inside the VM and then send it to me or something so I can look at it and see what's done. Greatly appreciated

I think I have explained myself wrong. The server would not be for Grindr Plus, but for Grindr: that is, whatever you discover that might be interesting (in terms of reverse engineering, tests or curiosities) for use in Grindr Plus or other tools that you can create from Grindr.

Issues exclusively related to Grindr Plus would be kept in the corresponding section in this repository -that is one of the things why and for which Github was made for, after all-.

It is likely that problems related to the mod will overlap with problems intrinsic to the original app, but as long as the interest prevails in maintaining a more closed space dedicated only to those who contribute, in which they can communicate in real time through instant messaging, I think that is not a problem.

Regarding moderation, as long as there are so few contributors who bring improvements to the project, not much maintenance is necessary on the server. So if you mean it's time-consuming, I disagree: quite the contrary, it's much more time-consuming to research on your own than it is to put together the work of several people.

Here's my list, but beware cause I still use 8.1 and some of them may probably not work on new Android versions.

The most important for me are:
GravityBox adds a lot of essential features that new Android versions lack, probably won't work with virtual xposed at all though
Ltweaks makes it possible to hide share targets and floating menus when selecting text, also adds menu to app info screen to open app data/apk location
Undo adds simple undo and redo options to text fields
Disable flag secure allows Screenshots to the apps that block it
Exi is extremely useful if you use SwiftKey
Xposed Edge adds multitude of additional navigation gestures, 1000 times superior to any OEM ones
Suggestion toggle turn off/on suggestions in text fields
Lucky Patcher disables signature verification in package manager so you can install an updated/downgraded version from different source

As for discord server, I'm in, but I doubt you guys are in the 0.0009% of the population that has not seen me naked yet
