Can this project be used to target macOS menu commands?

Do you have thoughts for how best to use this project to also support main menu commands? I think to support that case one would need to also hock the event handlers into the focus system. Have you given this any thought?

Hi there!

I've actually given this some thought, currently the events travel "up" the view hierarchy, usually as a result of a user interaction, like a button.

Events like a menu bar command, Intents, or shakes (ideally it would be centrally received) however come from the top of the hierarchy and would have to propagate "downwards".

I've explored using Preferences in order to propagate these events, you can see my exploration to centrally handle device shaking here.

It worked in some cases, and I believe the technique is solid, though it would have to be generalized.

I did run into some inconsistencies where some view hierarchies would break the connection, but I haven't figured out why. This was a while back so it could have been fixed at some point.

@jessegrosjean this feature aligned with my recent needs and I gave it a shot this weekend, I got it working with Preferences but unfortunately SwiftUI seems to clear preferences when displaying sheets, so I need to re-implement using the environment.
