There's a Create ponder window where it says that a Steel Bee Egg can be created through a mutation of a coal block with an Iron Bee. Although that recipe doesn't appear in JEI and is in fact incorrect (being the Induction Smelter recipe the correct one), which could cause misleading to newer players
