Feature to de-select a game/animation

I click on a game in the launcher, and the right sidebar pops up, but I can't seem to be able to de-select the game and remove the sidebar. There might be a way to do this and I just don't know it, but I don't know where to learn this, and I don't want to press random hotkeys and end up breaking something. If this is missing, please add it, it would be appreciated.
