Password managers have trouble with the shadow DOM and web components:

lit-element
Vaadin apparently has fixed this (per comments on the lit-elements ticket)
Polymer
Firefox ticket

The goal would be for password managers (1password, LastPass, Dashlane, Chrome/Firefox/Safari/Edge built-in options) to…

Prompt to save on submission
Prompt (or allow) autocompletion

The best approach is TBD, but options are probably limited.
